StoryNest™ ("we") is a multilingual storytelling platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it — including special protections for children and creators.

1. Data we collect

Account: email, display name, languages, age band.
Content: stories, chapters, comments, reviews, reactions, follows.
Kids profiles: child name (first name only), age band, allowed genres — managed by a parent under a PIN.
Device & app: session events, crash reports, non-personal analytics.

2. How we use it

To personalise recommendations in your chosen languages.
To keep children safe and enforce age-appropriate content.
To detect plagiarism, spam, fake reviews and unsafe content.
To pay creators and comply with tax rules where applicable.

3. Children

We follow child-safety principles (COPPA-inspired, DPDP-aligned). Kids profiles are created by a verified parent, never accept open community input, and never show unsafe recommendations.

4. Creator rights

You own your work. AI training on your content is off by default. You control AI narration and translation permissions per story.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Limited processors (hosting, payments, moderation) handle data only under contract.

6. Your rights

Access, correct, download, or delete your data at any time from Profile → Settings. Contact privacy@storynest.app.
